Durarara: Guns and Roses

I intended this scene to be ambiguous so that it would be open for various interpretations. That's Izaya there, walking away from a rose that has been dropped in a puddle (of water? blood?). Who gave the rose to whom? Why are Izaya's footsteps tinted red?, etc.

It's too small to read (and therefore has no bearing on the meaning of the scene), but the gift tag on the rose actually reads "ノミムシへ (nomimushi he / to the flea)". In my headcanon, Izaya has tears in his eyes as he walks away.

I was finally able to buy You Me at Six's most recent album, "Sinners Never Sleep", and this scene was inspired by the following lyrics from the song "Loverboy" ([link]):
